Les Reines Prochaines
Les Reines Prochaines - Thinking Alone is Criminal,
Claudia Willke, 2012

The Swiss performance band Les Reines Prochaines (the next queens) emerged from the youth and feminist movement of the 1980s. The young and cheeky performance artists of yesteryear are now “mature” women but still exuberantly youthful in spirit. Even after 25 years since their debut, they continue to venture across traditional genre and gender borders – with a witty, sensual and radical approach. The movie traces the distinctive history of Les Reines Prochaines and captures the artists in rehearsal and during their day-to-day life on tour.

Hanover Drive-In
No Signs, Mariel Kunz, 2012

My shrink says there aren’t any signs of insanity…” This film is about the normal insanity of everyday life and about a young woman’s efforts in dealing with it. The more she struggles to come to terms with her environment, the more absurd her story becomes - and still the viewers recognize themselves in her train of thoughts.
